Three drones DLO reading

 

We were learning to read a nonfiction book and then write about it for example, write five facts, write about why the Author wrote the book/Author's purpose, Research skills about were you could find more information and Vocabulary. After that you had to make another slide about what you learnt about reading the book that you choose, the things that you had to include in it were have your own sketch or diagram, searched for free to use pictures, red fount to match diagram, arrows to show the order to read it, added voice to teach others, outlined in text box-to show main point and bracket to help understand vocab.

I found it easy to draw my sketch because I found a picture online to copy of. I also found it easy to find free to use pictures that related to my slide off the internet to insert into my slide. I also found it easy to create the autio once we had found a website to  do it on.

I found it hard to figure out what part of the book I was going to write about, the parts of a drone or what the uses of the drones are theses days. I also found it hard to find a catchy title for that slide but I eventually figured it out:"Drones, the eye in the sky".

I really enjoyed this because now I know how to create a DLO/Digital Learning Object and I found learning how to do that really fun! I also enjoyed this because I read a book about drones and now I know the purpose of drones because I used to think they were just a flying piece of technology!  

Next time I need to add more detail such as adding more picture to add more red words to relate to the pictures. Next time I also need to something related to drone/the book I was reading.

Online Conversion

We were learning to create a online book with book creator about Good online conversations vs Bad online conversion. We did this so we could get better at having online convention and so that they could go on and on. We had to Notice things in our good conversion and our bad convention. The things we had to include were photos, a background, audio/voice clip, a good conversation and a bad conversion. A good conversion is were you asked questions and then the other person answers your question with another question to ask you. 

 I found it easy to insert photos and background because I knew what I wanted to find. I also found it easy to insert audio voice clips of me and my buddy speaking. I found it easy do this also because I only had to click a few things.

I found it hard to get good picture of me and my buddy because our faces looked big on the camera. I also found it hard to put this onto my blog because I have never done this before and I was learning so I asked for some help from a friend. After that I was good to go.

I really enjoyed this because I learnt how use this new website I have never used before. I also enjoyed working with a partner so you have different pictures of people and different voices. I found it really fun just creating my online book too.

Next time I will make sure I put good conversion and bad conversions in a separate box were I have not put a picture or a voice clip.

Spring writing!

We were learning to create spring writing about our favorite parts of spring. We had to use level 3 adjectives in this writing. I was also learning write a paragraph using a topic sentence, supporting details and a conclusion.

I found it easy to insert my picture into the slide and I also found it easy write about my favorite part of spring.

I found it hard to work out what I was going to do for my sentence beginnings because we couldn't have sentence beginnings like "The".

Next time I think I will use more level three adjectives so I can extend my vocabulary and so I can be on a higher level for writing.

 

Sunflower research question

 

We were learning to research a question about sunflower for inquiry. I enjoyed this because now I know how much water my sunflower seed needs. I found it challenging to find the answer on google so I had to type quite a lot of questions. Next time I need to put more information on my google slides. 

Movie trailer powtoon

 

We were learning to create a mini trailer on powtoons about the BFG. I found it hard to get the voice cover in the trailer sounding good because it was my voice talking. I found it easy to remember everything we learnt last time. I really enjoyed this because I got to learn more about powtoon, had a lot of fun and now I've got a mini movie trailer. Next time I need to choose a different book so its more challenging.  

Dodge home stay home (writing)

I was learning to create instructions for a game that we have made by taking two or three games and putting them together. I found it easy to figure out what two games I wanted to do because play Go home stay home quite a bit and I just enjoy playing dodgeball. I found it hard to make the text not clash with the background. I really enjoyed this because now I have created a new game to try out! Next time I need to put more verbs in my instructions.

Math with Miss Moat

 

I was learning to Simplify fractions and do basic facts/prototec. I found it easy to do prototec. I found it hard  to do Simplifying at the start. I really enjoyed this because I know how to Simplify. Next time I need to make sure I put the right answers for prototec.
